We exist to bring clarity to the most opaque part of energy infrastructure development: the airspace above it.
Airspace Acuity is a premier data intelligence platform dedicated to optimizing the lifecycle of energy infrastructure development. By transforming complex, fragmented regulatory data — sourced from the FAA OE/AAA process — into actionable, high-fidelity insights, we empower developers and project planners to de-risk site selection, accelerate permitting timelines, and maximize operational efficiency.
The FAA's obstruction evaluation process generates a vast repository of data on every structure that could affect navigable airspace. But the raw data is scattered across multiple systems, inconsistently formatted, and buried in interfaces designed for airspace regulation — not energy developers. We saw an opportunity to bridge that gap.
We don't just mirror government data. We build an intelligence layer on top of it — synthesizing decades of regulatory filings into a decision-ready platform that tells you what you need to know before you commit capital. Where are the conflicts? Which current or historical filings are in the vicinity? Which sites carry the least airspace risk? How can we accelerate the Determination of No Hazard timeline? These are the questions Airspace Acuity answers every day.
Airspace Acuity was founded by Mike, a Navy veteran and former helicopter pilot who spent his military career operating in dynamic environments and heavily regulated airspace. After transitioning to the private sector, Mike joined the energy industry, where he supported risk analysis and FAA/DoD coordination across the largest and most diverse portfolio of power generation and energy infrastructure in the nation.
It was there that he recognized a real gap: energy developers were attempting to manually source incomplete FAA OE/AAA data via a very limited process on the FAA's own platform. The data existed — fragmented across multiple sources — but no one had built the tools or intelligence layer to make it a practical resource for competitive insight and risk analysis.
Drawing on an operational background defined by precision and data-driven decision making, Mike built Airspace Acuity to close that gap. What began as a solution for wind turbine airspace screening has grown into a comprehensive intelligence platform serving developers across the energy spectrum.
Our mission is simple: make FAA airspace data accessible, actionable, and impossible to ignore for every energy developer in America.
